Young cultist 407 attends his first ceremony and prepares his "mission."

A scalpel is taken to the boy's arm.
The boy's arm is cut and the blood is poured into a necklace.
All the cultists cheer.
There's a waft of blood in the air.
Anopheles identifies the cultists by the smell of their blood.

Anopheles and the boy walk through the hallway.
Anopheles says he's proud of the boy.
Anopheles invites the boy into the medical room.
Anopheles opens a cabinet.
Anopheles tells the boy he's a surgeon.
Anopheles explains his medical experience.
Anopheles heals the boy's bleeding arm.
The boy looks sad and gets asked if anything is wrong.
The boy tells Anopheles that everyone is stronger than him.
Anopheles tells the boy to be on his best behaviour.
Anopheles tells the boy not to worry.
The boy says that he'll let Anopheles guide him.
The boy worries about Anopheles not being with him outside.
Anopheles says that outsiders will decieve the boy.
Anopheles wants to see the boy follow cult rules outside.
The boy asks what to do if he's not ready.
Anopheles assures the boy he has time to get accustomed.
The two leave the room, and we see someone eavesdropping
Anopheles gets annoyed with cultist #267 for eavesdropping.
267 and the boy hug.
267 jokes about the boy being scared.
267 and the boy go to run outside.
The two keep running until the boy falls over.
267 makes a joke about Anopheles cooking ants.
The boy laughs but looks sadly into the distance.
The boy is sad about not being productive.
The boy said he doesn't like it outside the commune.
267 tells the boy that the outside could be so many different places.
The boy says his family hated him, showing him being hit with a glass bottle.
267 says it's not the boy's job to make his family like him.
The boy wants to go to group meeting early.
267 and the boy are at group meeting, waving to their friend, 01.
Anopheles prepares to make his entrance above the stage.
Anopheles jumps off the platform, holds his jacket and spins as he falls.
Anopheles lands with his wings as the cultists cheer.
Anopheles welcomes everyone.
Anopheles talks about the importance of community.
Anopheles dismisses outsiders.
Anopheles says he's here to protect everyone, which the boy seems moved by.
Anopheles talks about how everyone in the cult is a good person.
Anopheles says there should be changes in the world.
A cultist tells 407 he'll be part of the change.
Anopheles keeps speaking as the cultist insists involvement to the boy.
267 tells the cultist to stop scaring the boy.
Anopheles calls himself the cure.

How the cultists got their numbers

Anopheles says that he could remember names when his community was smaller.
The uniforms became hard to keep track of when more people joined.
To fix this, Anopheles stitched numbers on the back of the uniform.
Calling people by number became tradition.
